frequently-asked questions

We're different and we know that. Due to this amazing and unique status, we've lined up a few questions that we get asked A LOT just so you can be in-the-know before you walk in the door and ask us something that we don't feel like answering again because we're still hungover from last night.

  • Can I rent out a Dive Bar for a private event?
We have recently changed our policies on this and we now do offer event hosting at our event pending the time and date needed. Please email us: Owner@DiveBarNC.com with the info for your event If this happens to change at any time, we will create a blast on our Dive Bar NC social platforms. (that means you should follow us)
  • Are children permitted at Dive Bar?
Hickory & High Point- YES until 8pm daily. Mooresville & Cornelius- NO, literally zero days a week. "Why no kids at Mooresville OR Cornelius? That's not fair!" Honestly, because Dive Bar Mooresville was our first location, we leaned hard into the NSFW stuff so there's not only profanity and inappropriate s#%@ everywhere. When we opened Cornelius, we wanted a "Rated-R Sister Bar" to the original. It's not suitable for kids, unless you raised them like Andrew Dice Clay..in that case we applaud you and we might even hire the little rapscallion. (jk we can't do that so plz don't ask)
  • What are the hours of Dive Bar?
All locations have the same hours as of 8/15/22. If this happens to change in the future we will update the individual page of the Dive Bar location in question. Mon: CLOSED Tue-Thur: 5 PM - 12 AM Fri: 5 PM-2 AM Sat: 3 PM - 2 AM Sun: 2 PM - 10 PM
  • What type of food do you serve? Can I get it delivered?
Our food is relatively the same across all locations. Pizza Pretzel Bites Tacos & so on and so forth. No. We do not deliver.
  • What happened to the memberships?
Once upon a time, a membership was required to be a patron of our bar. Don't worry, it wasn't some snobby BS that fleeced our customers of their hard-earned money. It was a requirement in North Carolina, and we used 100% of membership money to donate to community organizations like Feed NC and so on. Well, that's no longer a thing. Why? We don't know, but the state decided it wasn't. We are still accepting charitable donations and giving 100% of proceeds to local charitable organizations, but it is no longer required. We're not stoked about it, but that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes.
